Stephen Fitzjohn

AFA, AFP, AIF®, Post Grad Dip. Personal Finacial Planning (Waikato), Member of the Institute of Financial Advisers.

Stephen Fitzjohn

Stephen Fitzjohn was educated at Wisbech Grammar School in Cambridgeshire, England and started investing, whilst still at school, by saving earnings from mowing lawns and a cleaning a bakery.

On leaving school, Stephen moved into retail management and became head-hunted as a result of his abilities. In 1983, Stephen moved his career to that of a financial adviser by combining his desire to help others with decisions and finance, using a planning process that can take people to places of which they normally only dream.

After working in an advisory role with, what was then the largest insurance and investment company in the UK, Stephen was again head-hunted to work with a large independent financial advice group in their Lincoln office.

Stephen and his partner, Patricia migrated to New Zealand in 1993, settling in Wellington and later founding what was to become the Milestone Financial Services Group. Stephen is an Authorised Financial Adviser, Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, Associate Financial Planner and has also gained the Post Graduate Diploma in Personal Financial Planning (Waikato). He is able to provide Financial Advice, Discretionary Investment Management Services and Investment Planning Services. Stephen has spent many years helping professionals, particularly from the medical field, and migrants to focus on becoming financially free and securing their most valuable assets.

Approachable and meticulous in everything he does Stephen believes in openness and ethics in business. His service is unique and people love that because Stephen aims to create certainty in an uncertain world. Stephen enjoys spending time away from work with Patricia and their two children, socialising with friends and aiding the community through his involvement with Rotary International and other charities. Other interests are travel, tramping, following sports, in particular motorsports and driving his classic car.
